Francis T. Cheetham letter : Taos, N.M., to J.J. Hill, Berkeley, Calif. : ALS, 1924 Feb. 29.

Letter from Cheetham to Prof. Hill informing him about a dispute with the State Museum in Santa Fe, N.M., which concerns archives and state papers covering the Mexican period from 1821 to 1847. The museum claims it has no more material than what was accounted for in vol. 2 of Ralph Emerson Twitchell's Spanish Archives of New Mexico, but Cheetham shows that they have twice as many folios than listed by Twitchell.
